Unfolding Modern House

Unfolding Modern House
Unfolding House, upload feito originalmente por LOOMstudio.
Our design for this home for an extended family in a dense Asian city evolved out of the experience of oriental folding screens and urban wall houses. Folded spaces heighten awareness of time and passage through the spaces of the house and respond to the ebb and flow of a large household. Folded plate roofs gather the heavy local rainfall and allow venturi effect through rooms for natural ventilation.

The three-storey house is surrounded by a wide gallery for circulation on the outside of the building. The wooden roof and walls of the gallery shelter the building from the sun but allow the wind to cool the interior.

3 Floors: 3 Landscapes totally diverse in use and means of approaching nature.

1: the podium, at street level, looks over the garden. Two volumes sheltering ancillary functions leave an open space for permanence, with wide views over the garden, under the shadow of the house above.

2: the rooms are accessed via the gallery, which is wrapped in a wooden skin that negotiates privacy, views, ventilation and shadow, this last one treated as a living ornament. The walls have the roughness of hand crafted bricks, painted ice white.

3: the living room is a house on the trees, a wooden house on top of the concrete house. The open roof leaves space for 3,20 m high glass panels, merging coconut trees, dunes and sea in the open plan interior.

Tree House Design Modern - wooden house

Tree House designed by Sander Architects, located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Tree House Design Modern - wooden houseFrom the heart to a quiet forest in Wilmington, Delaware, this contemporary tree house was admittedly a labor of love for architect Whitney Sander of Sander Architects. With a rushing stream at its feet, Tree House features a spectacular spiral staircase, running up the front of the home, past the modern Juliet-inspired balcony, and the expanse of glass that forms the front facade. The home’s very vertical construction places the master bedroom and living at the top, among the trees, with a rooftop deck as the most luxurious crowning touch.

Green Home Design The Twencent

Green Home Design The TwencentContemporary green home built in Vermont. With a super-insulated structure and passive heating and cooling, the home uses less of the mechanical systems for temperature control. To further reduce the use of fossil fuel in powering the house, the owners installed a geothermal heat pump system and heat recovery ventilator (to keep the air filtered and fresh). Raedia and Ian's home was design by Ian's father and the landscaping will be done by Ian's mother. Between everyone in the family, they've sure found a way to build a cool green home, with green kitchen design to make modern home have green interior design.
